Students taking French, German, Italian, Latin or Spanish Placement exams
We will offer placement exams on the following dates:
There are currently no schedule exam dates for current students.
Please check for updates to our placement exam calendar by June 1, 2012.
May 27, 2012 - July 6, 2012 (for incoming students only)
To register for an exam, please have the following information readily accessible and click the link below.
1. Your full name
2. The preferred time of the exam
3. Your VIP id
You can find this by logging into https://vip.sc.edu , click on Personal, then Show Me My VIP ID and password. It is an 8-digit number. Please note that this is NOT your social security number.
4. Your status at USC - New, Transfer or Current student
5. The language exam that you wish to take
May 27 - 31, 2012 (for Incoming students only)
June 3 - 28, 2012 (for Incoming students only)
July 1 - 6, 2012 (for Incoming students only)
Incoming Freshmen / Transfer students should take the foreign language placement exam at least one day prior to their scheduled Orientation date. Please wait until you have confirmation of your Orientation date before registering for a placement exam.

The Arabic Placement exam will be given on August 20, 2012 at 9:00a.m. in the Welsh Humanities Classroom building - room 101A. Please bring a photo id to the testing center.

The Japanese Placement exam will be given on August 21, 2012 at 10:00a.m. in the Welsh Humanities Classroom building - room 101. Please bring a photo id to the testing center.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please be advised that students should only register once for a placement exam. Please email flplacement@sc.edu to change or cancel your scheduled placement exam. If a student registers more than once, only the FIRST registration will be recorded. All subsequent registration appointments will be canceled.
If a date/time is removed from the calendar, it is full and has been closed. Please register for another day/time.
After registering, you will automatically receive an email confirmation with important information regarding your placement examination. If you do not receive the email confirmation, first check your spam/junk folders for the email. Next, email flplacement@sc.edu explaining that you did not receive the confirmation email.
